Slovenian violinist, Lucija Krišelj began her violin studies at the age of 12. After studying with Primož Novšak at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, she continued her studies at the Universität für Musik in Darstellende Kunst Graz with Priya Mitchell. In 2019 she finished her Master of Arts in Specialized Music Performance at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in a class of Andreas Janke.
In years 2015 and 2016 she was selected to take part in Prokopp Academy, where she had an opportunity to learn from the famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to that, she was a member of Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester for 3 years.
As a soloist, Lucija Krišelj performed with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Ljubljana, Akademisches Kammerorchester Zürich, Maribor Slovene National Theatre Orchestra and many others.
Ms. Krišelj participated in prestigious masterclasses like Musik Forum Trenta, Menuhin Academy Gstaad and Gustav Mahler Academy Bolzano, where she worked with Petr Götzl, Igor Ozim, Christian Altenburger and others.
She is an avid chamber musician. In last few years, she had an opportunity to play chamber music with artists like Guy Braunstein, Ivan Monighetti, Priya Mitchell, Wolfgang Boettcher, Wolfram Christ, Quirine Viersen, Hanna Weinmeister und Julia Gartemann, Bernarda Fink. She was invited to play chamber music at some of the well known stages like Salzburger Festspiele, Musikverein Wien, Wiener Staatsoper and Musikverein Graz, Bolzano Festival Bozen and others.
Since February 2019 she is employed by Tonhalle-Orchestra Zürich as second violin tutti. In addition to that, she teaches violin and researches the field of Music Physiology at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
